Oki Island Geopark


Challenge

The Oki Island Geopark Promotion Council wanted to properly welcome travelers entering Shimane Airport to the beautiful island. Particularly, promotional and advertising activities with Hong Kong residents were implemented to encourage visitors to see the best of the islands.

Idea

After a market research survey, Tokyo Creative discovered that the majority of Hong Kong travelers in Japan were interested in food adventures. Therefore, the Tokyo Creative internal media team focused on attracting Hong Kong viewers to the beautiful Oki Islands via their traditional yet island-specific food.

Result

Until today, the video has obtained over 300,00 views and plans for travel were outlined in the comment section. With the younger demographic in the comment section interested in food, there seems to be a high interest in nature and sightseeing. Based on these trends, we can devise specific marketing strategies for various age groups and interests in the near future.
